Feelin' pretty good this October cuz I'll finally get to spend it with my husband (the Army stole him the last 2) and I actually found some time to paint! These are our adorable kitties: my husband's orange fluffy fur factory Toby, also called buddy, bub, and sweet boy. And my bratty but lovely girl Nightshade, also known as my angel, my love, shady girl, and you mean little brat. We love them both very much and they make perfect halloween cats as far as coloration goes!
To comment on the quality, yes I know the lighting is horrible. I still have a lot of improving to do there. The fur could use a lot of work too. But, I believe the picture is nicely laid out and I'm happy with all the details I put into it. The thing I'm most proud of though is the fact that the cats actually look like ours! If you don't own a cat you may think they all look the same, but our babies have very unique faces and personalities which i think i captured well. What do you think? critiques are always welcome!

thanks! and yeah Nightshade's fur was a pain and I still didn't do it as well as I'd hoped to, but it does look a lot better than the last time I did it: [link] oh...and DERP I forgot my FB pics could only be seen by friends, so i replaced those pics with some from photobucket and deviantart so you should be able to view them now
wow ^^ this looks really nice talon! the kittys are so cute! me and mom saw a kitten with nightshades fur coloring, we wanted to get her but mom hesitated too long and someone else adopted her. but you're right, they're the perfect holloween cats ^^
Thanks! and aww thats a bummer....I hear torties tend to be brats though (dunno what their fur has to do with their personality O_o) it's certainly true for my girl, however she is very sweet and affectionate to me and me only....
lol cats tend to pick 1 or 2 people to love and adore, everyone else they just tolerate my little megan was like that with me and my dad. she was an orange tabby cat (which it turns out are usually male ._.; but she was orange and a girl) and i could not sit down in the living room without her ploping herself right onto my lap. she seemed to ninja her way there sometimes, cause i didn't know she was even in the room xD
Cats seem to always show up in Halloween pics. Congrats on getting your husband back! And the lighting looks fine. The fur is the thing that needs some work, but I like the style it's in at the moment. If you want to improve the entire thing, that would work too. A picture is never really complete.
XD you have a point. I could have kept working on this for hours, but I recognize I have poor lighting and fur skills right now and would just overwork this piece and make it look crappier if i kept going at it. Just need to practice those things a bit more Thanks for looking at my work and faving it!
btw those links are private on FB, can't see the pictures
