Liehl Riusuke MP3 by Talonclawfange Liehl Riusuke MP3 by Talonclawfange
My submission to MP3...surprise surprise its Liehl again XD I just love this character. He's back and more morbid and serious than ever! lol...he's got blood on his mind as usual; his goal being to survive long enough to destroy the MP and those who created it.

Stats:
ST 8
AG 5+2(sheikah)=7
EP 2
FI 2
DE 3
SM 7
IQ 4
RI 1+1(warrior)=2

Moveset:
- Hour of Darkness (ST+SM 15) - A long, unbroken chain of strikes, using his nin-ha precision to the fullest.
- Inborn Cruelty (ST+AG 15) - Strikes vulnerable pressure points to cause pain and weakness.
- Impending Ruin (AG + SM 14) - Unleashes a combo of precise, focused strikes, using his nin-ha training to utilize surroundings
- Shadow Rain (ST+IQ 12) - Staying out of sight using the shadows, he attacks with throwing knives.

NOTE: before reading the below intro, please look at the pics of the NPCs Peak and Zaven here:
Peak [link] [link]
Zaven [link] [link]
Both [link]

another NOTE: I know it looks like he's wearing eye makeup, but he's not. the Nin-ha developed dark features, and the ones he inherited were black hair and darkly shadowed skin around the eyes. Oh....and eyebrows that make him look eternally pissed even when he's happy lol

And for new ppl unfamiliar with Liehl, have a look: [link]((liehl)%20AND%20(by%3Atalonclawfange))&qo=8 [link]((liehl)%20AND%20(by%3Atalonclawfange))&qo=6

They're getting worse.

I was on a misty path somewhere between Hyrule and my goal. The scrapes of boots across the dusty, leaf-strewn forest floor drifted through the air, along with the occasional call of some animal far away. The shapeless shadows of trees loomed through the gray haze to my left and right, passing me by like strangers. As comforting as I found that cool, moist atmosphere with its hazy light, it did nothing to lift my spirit from the depths I'd let it sink to.

I should have trained harder. I just couldn't stop thinking about it. I wasted so much time.... relaxing, socializing, eating, sleeping, meaningless travel...it was all time I should have used to train. I should have hardened my body and sharpened my mind with every spare waking moment so I could defend her. It was...such a strange thing. I didn't expect it to happen to me; who expects the sun to suddenly disappear from their life? Yet it did, because I failed to save her, and I was left with nothing but the cold darkness I started with. A darkness that made them get worse...

A sound behind me. Someone was following me. But who, I wondered? I hadn't seen another living person in months, nor had I seen anyone who would want to follow me for much longer than that. A bandit perhaps. And why not let him kill me... What did I have to live for at that point? But I decided to live, for hope. I hoped I'd see my daughter again, and I hoped to destroy the evil I was traveling towards. That was enough to live for, I supposed. A mighty leap into the air and a double back flip was all it took to remove me from harm's way. I drew my kodachi just before landing behind my pursuer, raising the dully glimmering blade to his throat.

“Liehl! It is you Liehl! A...owie...” It was Zaven. I hadn't seen him since I'd left hyrule and I had supposed I'd never see him again.

“Oh. It's you.” I replied, removing my blade and sheathing it. Zaven turned to face me.

“Whaddya mean 'it's you'? Is that the best greeting you can give your old pal? C'mon, we should be hugging or something!”

“Leave,” I answered simply. “You shouldn't have followed me. It's too dangerous for you where I'm going.”

“No,” he said, surprising me with unusual assertiveness. “Ya can't just run away from us forever, Liehl. I know you're having a hard time because of what happened, but it's been nearly a year now and you didn't need to leave like that! Everyone wants you to come home! Sheesh, I was scared I'd find you dead...you weren't by chance on your way to kill yourself were you?”

“It's none of your business where I'm going. I told you to go away...”

“I'm not leaving, Liehl! I told everyone I wasn't going home without you, so if you won't come back then I'm going with you until you do!”

“You-! You stubborn fool!” I growled, irritated. Mostly I was thinking of how irritating he'd be to bring along, but inside I must admit a part of me was both very concerned for his safety and touched by his resolute desire to bring me home. I had left Hyrule in anger and sorrow. My last meeting with him and the others had been an unpleasant one, an effort by me to distance myself from them emotionally. I didn't want them around me anymore...I was no longer the person they had befriended. I had become unstable and unfriendly and would only tarnish their happy lives. Did they really want me back? Without her...I just wasn't the same.

“C'mon Liehl, don't be mad. Besides, I have a surprise for you! She should be along shortly!” Zaven announced with a big grin. I scowled.

“You brought Kaalna, didn't you.” I assumed he'd brought his girlfriend who wasn't exactly a person I got along well with, but he shook his head.

“Ah, no. She um...well she... turned back to her old ways and tried to kill me, so...she's not with us anymore,” he explained with a valiant effort at a smile. Zaven was always smiling. Kaalna had been the only woman he'd ever had a good relationship with and she tried to kill him and now he was smiling. How did he do it?

“Who's with you then?” I asked, genuinely curious. Then suddenly I knew as I heard the flapping of wings and the mist parted as she appeared, landing in front of me.

“D-Daddy...?” Peak. My daughter Peak. She didn't contain my blood, nor the blood of the woman I'd lost, but I still felt about her as I would my own child. We had raised her together for years. Peak had run away on the day it happened. Peak had lost a mother before, and in a horrific way. I still remember her tortured cries as they pulled her away from the deceased remains of her feline mother. Losing another mother had been too much for her, and she flew away where neither I nor any of my friends could follow. It seemed she had returned.

“Peak...where have you been?” I asked, my voice notably softer. I could feel emotion rising up inside me and I took an awkward step towards my daughter, who had grown so much her pointed cat ears were now at the level of my chest. She also took a step towards me, her golden eyes filling with tears.

“Daddy!” She shouted, practically pouncing on me and wrapping her furry, shivering arms around my waist. I embraced the girl, my left hand finding the back of her head and holding it against myself while gently scratching behind her ears. Yes, I thought...I can't let myself die, not while Peak is alive. It's my duty to her.

“There, see? That's much better than wandering around by yourself, now isn't it Liehl?” Zaven asked, beaming. “Now come back to Hyrule with us!”

“ I cannot.... not yet,” I explained regretfully, releasing Peak. “I have to conquer them. They keep getting worse....”

“Eh? Conquer what, Liehl?”

“I think Daddy is talking about... his nightmares,” Peak said. I nodded.

“K...Kay....she kept them at bay,” I breathed out, unwilling to even think her name much less say it. “They're not just dreams. They reflect the violent state of my soul, caused by my murderous Nin-ha blood. If I don't do something... the blood and the nightmares will win, you understand?” Zaven frowned, looking worried.

“Well where are you going then? What will you do to conquer them?”

“When I lost her...I was weak, Zaven. I still am. I let my virtuous nature slip. You saw that when I left. I let go of the self she had nurtured. I need to get it back...I need to do something good. I need to destroy something evil. Only by doing something like that can I make her proud, and return to who I was. Once I do that, I will return home. I promise.”

“So you're just gonna wander around and look for some random evil to kill! C'mon Daddy, that's silly!” Peak folded her arms, her snout scrunched up in a frown. “And we're not leaving you either, we're staying with you till you come home!” I sighed heavily.

“I can see I'm not going to be able to convince you not to come with me, but I'm not just wandering. I'm going to where I know there's evil. It's a dangerous and deadly place where abhorable events take place and I don't want you to go there...”

“We're coming!” Peak declared, paws on hips.

“Yeah, you're not leaving us behind!” Zaven agreed, nodding his head. “So...where are we going?” My jaw hardened in a small grimace, frustrated by their insistence. I turned my head to look into the thick mist on the path ahead, a mist through which we had to travel... to a place and an event that I felt both repulsed by and drawn to.

“We're going to the Myriad Path.”

Looks awesome, really like the 'cyber-anarchist' pants he has on. And I do have a critique though, Since Liehl is leaping towards the viewer's left, his body should also be just leaning slightly to the left also along with the motion of his body instead of being a static, straight pose.

Other than that, it's such an awesome picture and good luck in the Myriad Path! XD

he is leaning to the left ^^. The ground is sloping, see? if you tilt your head so the ground is flat, youll see the real pose he's in. I just rotated it because I think it's more visually appealing and less confusing to see him straight, y'know? and thanks ^^ not sure what cyber anarchist is but I like designing clothes for my chars heh!

XD Well the road looks more like it was a hilly slope than a level ground.

And it's like a Cyber-punk, but a supporter in Anarchy

Great job, your digital coloring is getting better, my only nitpicks would be that the right leg and ankle look a bit funny and that the shading has no clear directional light source. Though it's misty and light is often like that in mist. All in all great job, still no lack in naked elf boy and cat boy backs haha. Though I like to draw people in even less clothes so I can't talk XP.

the light is coming from the upper right. you can tell if you look at the position of the highlights and shadows, but i didn't want it to be too distinct because, yeah, the mist tends to make light less stark. and yeah i have issues with drawing bent ankles and feet lol X3 thanks!

That said, this is really, really good. Seems you've tamed the digital coloring beast and bent it to your will.

Sorry, I just sort of forgot. Liehl and Radegast are roughly the same age... I don't think they'd get along very well, though.

Hm I wonder. Liehl is usually pretty nonconfrontational unless he sees you as an enemy...and then you're pretty much screwed

I means, modern clothes, an Elf... he look like he would be in the alternate Earth/future that is Shadowrun, the Urban fantasy-Cyberpunk tabletop rpg
(I would play a guy like this)
